Maybe you've been carrying hurts from the past. Maybe you've struggled to forgive, wondered who you really are, or simply felt disconnected from your heart. Life has a way of filling our days with responsibilities, leaving little room to slow down and listen for God's voice.

I've discovered that when we intentionally make room for Him, He faithfully meets us there.

That's what Create to Be Free is all about.

Through creativity, prayer, reflection, and biblical truth, these workshops invite you into a gentle space where you can spend time with God and allow Him to reveal His love, bring healing to your heart, and remind you of who He created you to be.

These aren't art classes.

They're an invitation.

An invitation to slow down.

An invitation to be present with God.

An invitation to discover that He often meets us in the quiet moments when we're willing to create, listen, and simply be with Him.

One of the first things women often tell me is, "I'm not creative."

My answer is always the same...

Perfect.

You don't need to be an artist to experience God through creativity. You don't need special talent or artistic ability. You simply need a willing heart and a desire to spend time with Him.

The creative process isn't about making beautiful artwork. It's simply one of the many ways God can speak to our hearts.

Each workshop stands on its own, so you're welcome to join the topics that speak to you most. Or, if your heart is longing for the full journey, you're invited to experience all six workshops as they unfold throughout the year.

Our Journey Together

Create to Be Free is offered as six individual monthly workshops. Each workshop may be taken on its own, or you can experience the complete journey by attending all six throughout the year.

Lesson 1: Rediscovering Our True Identity

How we see ourselves shapes the way we live. Yet so many of us have allowed labels, wounds, expectations, or past experiences to define us. Together we'll explore who God says we are and begin rediscovering our true identity as His beloved daughters.

Lesson 2: The Power of Forgiveness

Forgiveness isn't always easy, but it is one of God's greatest gifts to us. Together we'll discover the freedom that comes when we release what we've been carrying and trust God with the places that still need His healing.

Lesson 3: Letting Go

What have you been carrying that God never intended for you to carry?

Through creativity, prayer, and reflection, we'll begin releasing old hurts, fears, limiting beliefs, and burdens into His loving hands.

Lesson 4: Overcoming Abandonment

Whether through relationships, disappointment, loss, or unmet expectations, feelings of abandonment can leave deep wounds. This workshop creates space to experience God's faithful presence and the assurance that He has never left your side.

Lesson 5: Walking in Freedom

Freedom isn't simply something we receive—it's something we learn to live in every day. Together we'll explore what it looks like to walk in the freedom Jesus has already given us with greater confidence, peace, and joy.

Lesson 6: Awakening Dreams

God has placed unique dreams, gifts, and purpose within every woman. Together we'll listen for His voice, rediscover those dreams, and step forward with renewed hope and expectancy.

About the Facilitator

Create to Be Free was created by Theresa Dedmon, whose creative healing ministry has impacted countless lives. After personally experiencing the transformation this process brought to my own life, I completed facilitator training and now have the privilege of leading these workshops.

While the foundation of Create to Be Free remains true to Theresa's teaching, I've woven in my own testimony, experiences, and the many ways God has faithfully met me throughout my own healing journey.

As I began inviting God into the creative process, I discovered He wanted to meet me there. What I thought would simply be painting became a place where He gently revealed His love, brought healing to my heart, and reminded me of who I was in Him.

That experience changed me.

It's also why my heart is to create a welcoming place where women can come exactly as they are, experience God's love in a personal way, and discover the freedom He desires for them.

What to Expect

Create to Be Free is designed to provide women with a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment where they can slow down, connect with God, and experience His love through the creative process.

Each two-hour workshop includes:

• Guided creative exercises

• Biblical truth and encouragement

• Personal reflection

• Prayer

• Opportunities to listen for God's voice

• A supportive community of women

• Simple ways to continue your journey with God between workshops

No artistic experience is necessary.

Just come as you are.

Everything you'll need is provided, including watercolors, paintbrushes, watercolor paper, and all creative materials.

Workshop Schedule

Create to Be Free is offered as a series of six individual monthly workshops.

Meeting once each month allows you time to reflect, pray, and continue processing what God is doing in your heart before gathering again. My hope is that you'll experience not only meaningful moments during each workshop, but also God's continued work in your life throughout the month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be artistic?

Not at all.

In fact, many women arrive convinced they aren't creative. By the end of the workshop, they're often surprised by how much they enjoyed the experience.

This isn't about artistic ability.

It's about making room for God.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself.

Everything you'll need—including watercolors, brushes, watercolor paper, and all other creative materials—is provided.

Can I attend just one workshop?

Absolutely.

Each workshop is complete on its own, so you're welcome to attend whichever topics speak to your heart.

Many women choose to attend all six because each workshop builds on the previous one, creating a beautiful journey of healing and growth over time.

Will I have to share personal experiences?

No.

Sharing is always optional.

My heart is that every woman who walks through the door knows she's welcome exactly as she is. You never have to share more than you're comfortable sharing.

Is this a Bible study?

Not in the traditional sense.

Together we'll spend time creating, praying, reflecting, and making room for God to speak through Scripture, creativity, and quiet moments with Him.
